Finally finished with the first version of my cameo CMS project. this was a project i’ve been wanting to finish since 2004, but I never really started the development, not until 3 months ago. but of course this is not like most CMS out there, this is just something I put together to aid me in developing new websites. It’s really more like Developer’s CMS, most people might not understand how to use it, especially if you’re not a web developer, hahaha. Btw, this project uses CodeIgniter Framework.
Version 1.0 marks the first fully working engine of cameo, and it’s far from perfect, and bug ridden too — the thing that put me off from getting started, but then I realise this is how application development is like, it’s always far from perfect. If you want perfect apps without bugs, then your application might never see the light of day. So on that note, I marked the first working version as 1.0… Tadaaaaa.
Wait what? downloads? well not yet, there are still many things missing, some of them are:
- Error handling
- Level-based user system
- Well a lot more… may be version 2.0 later will build on this, and add more
