I was googling for the word ‘dahri’ after reading thegadget (you can see the result for yourself), thing is, i found out the meaning of my name.

dahri

Definition: This term stems from the word ad dahr, or time. Generally, it refers to atheists because in Islam, atheists are seen as those who think that time only destroys, hence the term ad dahriyyah for the concept of atheism.

I mean, i know that the word ‘dahri’ means ‘time’, and i also know that one word in arab can refer to specific issue. But what I just figured is that the meaning ‘time’ in the word ‘dahri’ refers to atheism. I haven’t googled more yet, but I wonder what does Muhammad Dahri means?

• Did my parents know the meaning?
• I sure as hell don’t like to be related to Atheism.
• I assure you I’m not atheist
• I’m okay with the fact, but just wondering how did they pick the name? Since the name was a suggestion from a man considered elder by my parents.

the edge, it’s a word i assume fit to describe a situation when life’s start to lose it’s excitement at the maxxx.

how come?
it’s another Final Test session, i’ve been through this several times already (no, i’m not proud ). it’s not the test that brings me to the edge, it’s more the loneliness, since (almost) everybody are going home beetween test days, so orange is practically empty.

what to do now?
interesting, that’s what i’m trying to find out : what should i do in this spare(st of) time?
should i go home? should i visit families and colleagues?

what do you want to do?
you know what, i actually want to go somewhere no people know me, no familiar faces, but still there is civilization.

abroad?
something like that, yes. it would be nice to go somewhere abroad, somewhere people speak the language i don’t understand, somewhere far away, somewhere people meet on the street and greet each other, that would be some place wouldn’t it. i mean going to Bandung or somewhere in Java/Bali/Sumatra will not solve the edge, i mean, there’s so many people i know there. while going to some other island in Indonesia, just not the thing.

really?
actually i’ve been wondering about this everytime the edge comes. and i actually did once, i went to Bandung (that time i don’t know too many people there), just walk the streets, doing (stupid) things, and it was great, i went for 3 weeks, and when i came back i felt livelier.

any particular places in mind?
well, neighbour countries like Singapore and may be Malaysia, or Australia are good places to start, and anywhere in Japan too.
and after that some countries in Europe will be a good destination, some villages in Italy, Spain, England, France (somewhere not Paris, London, Milan, Madrid, those are common destination).
next, may be Manhattan, where i read is a great place.
