just cleaned the friendster from unknown friends, well, that’s something new, a friend but unknown, they never had that in the past, they do now in friendster.

you know, unknown friends, like pretty gals who *accidently* added me to their friendlist (because i *accidently* sent them friend request, how stupid i am). i think they’re making mistake, so i clear that up for them, huehue.

hue? what’s Flock? gue lalu ngeklik linknya and it led to http://www.flock.com where i found out that Flock is a new browser (in development), free and open source.

This Flock thing uses engine based on Mozilla engine. I downloaded it and try, it was quite a download, while Firefox 1.5 is only 5,102KB , Flock goes 8,287KB (it took some times to download it using my connection, since the download speed in average was only 1.85 KBps, it took 1 hour 14 minutes and 38 seconds). I installed it and tried, and it’s pretty much Firefoxy, I think they took the code from Firefox 1.5, since it has the same problem, a bloated memory usage.

Despite the thing, it has quite a pretty interface, using blue as the button color and chrome silver as the base background color, and it’s focused on social-features (i mean the final version, since current version is for Developer Preview only, but we’re welcomed to try).

One thing i found funny, when i clicked the link Flock in the Bookmark Toolbar Folder, the page load so slow, while the other pages loads fast, but then i figured the reason why when i tried to load it in Firefox, it was because heavy load in their server i think, since it loaded slow in Firefox too.

It’s sure is fast, a lot faster than in IE and Firefox 1.0.7, few pages i found slowly loaded in Firefox 1.0.7, like Friendster and few others loaded faster in Flock. I actually like it, I hope in the final 1.0 version, they have changed it to have much more distinctive feature and look to Firefox.
